The Bloom Initiative grew from the experience of families navigating autism, disability, and the often invisible weight of caring. That lived understanding continues to guide how the organisation listens, designs programs, and welcomes people.

The team combines community knowledge with the practical responsibilities of running an incorporated organisation. Together, its members shape programs, partnerships, governance, communication, and the everyday work needed to help carers feel less alone.

Michael Iddio

Co-Founder & Director

Michael Iddio is a co-founder and director of The Bloom Initiative. His work is shaped by lived experience as a parent and carer navigating autism, disability, and the day-to-day realities of family life. He brings strengths in creative thinking, technology, and people-centred leadership, using each to shape programs, partnerships, and experiences around what carers and families actually need. He believes carers deserve room to put down the load, reconnect with themselves, and build genuine relationships beyond the caring role. That belief sits at the heart of Bloom's vision: creating warm, culturally welcoming experiences that help people feel less alone.

Adebukola Iddio

Co-Founder & Public Officer

Adebukola Iddio is a mental health and community sector professional with experience in peer support, community engagement, and creating spaces where people feel heard, included, and able to connect. Her work is grounded in mental health, relationship-building, and a strong understanding of the realities families can face when navigating care and support systems. She also brings lived experience as a parent and carer within the autism community. That combination shaped the vision for The Bloom Initiative. Adebukola is particularly passionate about reaching carers from multicultural communities, reducing stigma, and creating culturally welcoming spaces where carers can build genuine connections, access useful information, and rediscover parts of themselves beyond the caring role.

Olufunmilola Adenike Olaniyan

Community Engagement & Partnership Lead

Olufunmilola Adenike Olaniyan is a disability sector professional with 13 years of experience across service management and support coordination. She works alongside people navigating NDIS systems, therapies, housing, and the day-to-day realities of care. She also has lived experience with neurodivergence. That dual view, professional and personal, is why Bloom matters to her. She believes carers need gentle, culturally welcoming spaces where they can put the load down for a moment, create something, talk if they want to, and remember that they matter too.

Vivian Udenwoke

Secretary

Vivian supports the organisation's records, correspondence, and committee coordination. Her work helps turn decisions into clear actions and keeps Bloom's governance organised as the initiative grows.

Samuel Shadrach Adewuyi

Treasurer

Samuel supports Bloom's financial oversight, planning, and accountability. He helps the committee make responsible decisions so the organisation can grow its impact on a sound foundation.
